BACK UP YOUR GENEALOGY! at least once a month, if not more. Ideally you should store backups regularly on different media (for example, on an external drive and on CDs) and store these in different locations (one at home or at work, one in another safe location).
The 1st of each month is the day to backup your files and test your backups. See Dick Eastman’s article, “It is the First Day of the Month: Back Up Yor Files!”.
Don’t wait for World Backup Day – that’s only once a year – the 31st of March.
